Almorie Sophia Nagayi, aged 19, from Masaka City, won the Miss Uganda 2026/27 title at the finale at Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. She beat 21 other contestants and succeeds Trivia Elle Muhoza.
Nagayi will represent Uganda at Miss World 2027 in Tanzania.
How the contest was decided
Judges scored the finalists on stage presence, communication and the ability to explain their ideas under pressure. The question and answer round separated the field. Nagayi answered with composure, and her responses moved her ahead as the judges neared a decision.
The panel widened the shortlist from 10 contestants to 11. The change recognised the 15th anniversary of Miss Uganda and the margin between the finalists.
Muhoza crowned Nagayi on stage. V&A Uganda presented her with a cheque for 5 million Ugandan shillings.
