Food delivery service Bolt Food has launched a new feature that enables users to pre-order food and schedule it for delivery at their preferred time and location.

This feature helps customers avoid missing out on their favourite meals when restaurants are busy, closed, or in high demand.

It also helps restaurants to plan their orders and kitchen operations more efficiently, and couriers to increase their earnings by planning their deliveries strategically.

According to Edgar Kitur, the Country Manager of Bolt Food, the feature has been well-received by customers since its launch.

“The feature allows restaurants, couriers, and customers to benefit from Bolt Food’s platform. We have seen a 20% increase in orders using this feature,” he said.

Bolt Food has also expanded its delivery services to operate 24/7 on weekends, in response to the growing demand from customers and restaurants.

The food delivery firm has partnered with over 40 providers on its platform to offer more delivery options after midnight.

Some of the main restaurant partners offering these services are Piri Piri Barbecue, Chowpaty, Pizza Hut, and Evry.Day Mart.

Bolt Food has over 1500 restaurants on its platform and provides earning opportunities to over 4000 couriers in Nairobi and its metropolis.
