Air Tanzania on Saturday announced it is adjusting its flight schedule citing unforeseeable circumstances.
“Dear Customers, due to unforeseeable circumstance, Air Tanzania profoundly regrets to inform that we expect flight schedule adjustments,” the airline announced through its Tweeter feed.

On Friday, it was forced to cancel its flight from Johannesburg to Dar es Sallam after its aircraft was seized following a court order by the Gauteng High Court of South Africa.
Mr. Leonard Chamuriho, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications said the Tanzania Government had been informed by its ambassador in South Africa on the issue.
“We are working to ensure that the plane is released immediately,” said Chamuriho.

According to ATC News, the impounding of the plane might be as a result of an unpaid loan by Air Tanzania to South African Airways estimated at over 4.1 million US Dollars, dating back to the time when Air Tanzania had entered into a partnership with SAA.
