Michira was the Head of Marketing – Beer for EABL and was pivotal in building and growing some of East Africa’s biggest brands making it one of Diageo’s biggest beer businesses. So far this year, the bond market, consistent with the global market’s trend, has been largely bearish. Somalia’s former leader Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has been elected president. He defeated the incumbent president, Mohamed Abudallahi Farmajo. Farmajo has been in office since 2017. Mr Mohamud received 214 votes, defeating Mr Farmajo who won 110 votes out of 328 MPs who cast their votes.  Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will serve as Somalia’s president for four years, returning to the role he held between 2012 and 2017 before he was defeated by Mr Farmajo. Caetano Kenya donated the ambulance to NMS together with 500 pieces of certified full medical protective coveralls and over 3,300 comfort and face guard masks

Safaricom Foundation has donated a Ksh 9.5 million boat ambulance to King Fahad Referral Hospital in Lamu County to help deal with medical emergencies. The ambulance will impact over 150,000 people by linking patients from Faza and Mpeketoni Sub-County Hospitals, Kiwayuu and Kizingitini dispensaries, Kiunga and other health centres to referral services at King Fahad Referral Hospital. The ambulance, which uses a toll-free number for emergency services, is also fitted with emergency and surgical equipment needed to treat patients needing critical care and is estimated to be able to conduct 50 referrals per month. “The answer to achieving SDG 3,…
