Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has appointed Nicholas Clarke as Managing Director and Partner in its Nairobi office, effective 1 July 2025.
The appointment reinforces BCG’s commitment to deepening its presence in East Africa and supporting the region’s development ambitions.
Nicholas is a core member of BCG’s Social Impact and Public Sector practice areas. His work focuses on economic development, including investment acceleration, trade promotion, and industrial growth. He collaborates extensively with donors, foundations, and multilateral institutions to deliver large-scale transformation programmes across Africa.
Global Experience and Academic Credentials
Before relocating to Nairobi, Nicholas was based in BCG’s New York office (2017–2020). Prior to joining BCG, he served as a policy adviser to Rwanda’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and worked with the International Finance Corporation’s Africa strategy team.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Economics from the University of York.

Expanding Regional Impact
BCG also announced the appointment of Keshlan Mudaly as managing director and partner in its Johannesburg office, effective the same date. These appointments underscore BCG’s focus on empowering local leadership and delivering innovative solutions for Africa’s evolving needs.
