Jubilee Life Insurance has appointed Donald Omengo, CPA(K), as its Chief Finance Officer, effective August 17, 2026. He joins the insurer from KPMG, where he spent more than 15 years building a career in audit, finance, governance and risk management across East Africa and international markets.
Omengo moves to Jubilee Life from KPMG’s Audit Practice for East Africa, where he served as Associate Director. His appointment gives Jubilee Life a finance chief with deep grounding in technical accounting and regulatory compliance, skills the insurer says will support its next stage of growth.
From Audit Floor to Finance Chief
Omengo built his career almost entirely within KPMG. He started at KPMG Kenya in 2008 as an Audit Senior, leading teams that reviewed compliance with international financial reporting and auditing standards for clients in financial services and industrial markets.
In 2012 he moved to KPMG LLP in New York, working as a Senior Associate for nearly two years before returning to Kenya. Back home, he rose to Audit Manager in 2014 and later to Associate Director, roles that put him at the center of KPMG’s regional audit work for banks, insurers and other financial institutions.
That long run inside one of the world’s largest audit firms gave him a close view of how financial institutions manage risk and satisfy regulators, experience Jubilee Life now brings in house.

Omengo holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant, CPA(K).
