After making waves in South Africa and Tanzania, ‘The Mommy Club’, a reality show centered around the world of modern motherhood, is finally landing in Nairobi.
This new edition brings together a cast of powerful, unapologetic Kenyan women who are juggling parenting, passion, and personal growth, all while living large and staying grounded.
Set to premiere this month, the show promises an unfiltered look into the lives of five dynamic, successful women balancing motherhood, ambition, and luxury in the heart of Nairobi.
It’s not just about school runs and packed lunches, it’s about boardrooms, beauty brands, bold conversations, and everything in between.
According to Patricia Gichinga, Head of Production at M-Net, the show aims to spotlight the highs and lows of motherhood in a way that reflects modern Nairobi.
“We’re excited to launch The Mommy Club in Kenya. It’s a celebration of motherhood in all its forms — from everyday parenting wins to the personal dreams these women continue to chase.” she said in a statement announcing the show.
So, who are the women behind this season?
Jackie Matubia
Award-winning actress and digital content creator Jackie Matubia brings heart, humour, and hard truths to the show.
At 34, she’s raising two daughters, Zari and Zendaya, from different relationships — and she’s not sugar-coating anything.
Jackie has always been open about co-parenting and ensuring her girls stay connected to both sides of their families.
DJ Pierra Makena
One of Kenya’s top female DJs, 43-year-old Pierra Makena is also a fierce single mum to her daughter, Ricca. She’s been clear about not needing to fit into traditional boxes.
Even after her child’s father got married to someone else during her pregnancy, Pierra has remained true to herself and is raising her daughter on her own terms.
Carey Priscilla
Beauty entrepreneur and online creator, Carey Priscilla comes in with her own unique rhythm.
The mother of three runs the Carey Beauty School, but it’s her relatable parenting moments, including hilarious skits with her husband Benitto, that make her stand out online.
Her recent openness on family planning sparked debate and got people talking, which is exactly what she does best.
Lynne Njihia
At just 23, professional model and influencer Lynne Njihia represents a fresh, younger voice. As a new mum raising a baby girl, she’s sharing the messy, beautiful and honest side of early motherhood.
Her confidence, vulnerability, and digital fluency make her a voice for Gen Z parents navigating it all in real time.
Ofentse Tsipa
Originally from South Africa, Ofentse Tsipa, 36, now calls Nairobi home. She lives with her Dutch husband and their two kids, blending cultures and perspectives in everything she does.
A life coach and university student at USIU-Africa, Ofentse’s days are packed with podcasting, financial literacy coaching, and helping others tap into their potential, all while juggling motherhood and marriage.
Produced by Eugene Mbugua’s D&R Studios, ‘The Mommy Club NBO’ is set to stir up conversations.
