The initiative, launched in partnership with Driver Technologies, enables drivers to transform their smartphones into dual-facing dashcams capturing both the road ahead and the vehicle’s interior.

Passengers can expect greater transparency and accountability during trips. With both exterior and interior footage securely backed up to the cloud, the dash cam system provides:

How the Dash Cam Works
The Driver® app—available on iOS and Android—runs in the background of other apps, including Bolt, and displays a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) view so drivers know recording is active. Key features include:

- Unlimited trip storage and sharing via Driver Cloud
- Discounted subscription at KES 386/month
Data Security and Support
Driver Technologies will provide Bolt drivers with IT support and secure data handling. Drivers retain full control over their footage and can choose what to share with insurers, law enforcement, or Bolt’s support team.
