South Africa’s Jacques Kruyswijk secured his first European Tour title by winning the Kenya Open at Nairobi’s Muthaiga Golf Club on Sunday, defeating English veteran John Parry by two strokes.
Kruyswijk, 32, surged to the top of the leaderboard in Saturday’s third round, taking a one-stroke lead into the final day. He then shot a final-round 67, achieving an 18-under-par total of 266, and completed a bogey-free weekend with four birdies on Sunday.
“I’m super proud of myself with the mindset I’ve had this week and the way I’ve played this golf course,” Kruyswijk said. “What can I say? I’m happy.”

The 38-year-old Parry, who led after the first two rounds, finished as runner-up with a final-round 68 and a total of 268. A bogey on the 14th hole, due to an errant tee shot, allowed Kruyswijk to extend his lead.
Deon Germishuys, also from South Africa, finished third at 13-under-par, while his compatriot Jayden Schaper took fourth place at 12-under-par.
