This year, over Ksh 400 million has been committed to support the tournament which will run from June 2023 to January 2024.

It’s a true testament to the power of community and the spirit of unity, as teams from different regions come together to compete for the ultimate prize.

But Safaricom Chapa Dimba is not just about winning; it’s about empowerment.

As part of the tournament, participants will receive invaluable mentorship and life skills training, empowering them to become not just better footballers, but also well-rounded individuals. This holistic approach ensures that the impact of Chapa Dimba goes far beyond the football pitch, positively shaping the lives of our youth.

For instance, Safaricom and M-PESA Foundations are offering TVET educational scholarships to 150 players that will go to the best boy and girl players in every county, as well as members of the winning girls’ and boys’ teams at the national finals.

“We are equally happy to announce that 32 young players from the tournament will be scouted to the national team and get an opportunity to visit Spain for a 10-day training boot camp… We look forward to forging deeper connections with our customers and showcasing our commitment to transforming lives,” said Mr Ndegwa.

I registered my team CHEMELIL MARKET FOOTBALL CLUB in MUHORONI sub county before the deadline date. In the process of the registration, we encountered a number of challenges that we would like the organizer (SAFARICOM) to consider.
Identification documents was quite a challenge (School ID) to some team members. Can they consider other identification documents when the tonourment commence…
