The 2022 Formula 1 will feature a 22 Grand Prix schedule, which kicks off on Sunday 20th March with the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The scenes at the 2021 season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix should be enough of a reason to get you excited for the 2022 season. Lewis Hamilton will have the bit between his teeth after losing out on his eighth title in such controversial circumstances while Max Verstappen will be out to show that his first title was not just down to the drama at the Yas Marina Circuit.

Add to that the sweeping changes that the cars have undergone and the prospect thereof of closer racing with more overtaking and you have recipe for one of the most exciting F1 campaigns ever.

The likes of McLaren and Ferrari will be looking to renew their rivalry, though they will be hoping it is part of the scrap for the titles rather than just the best of the rest.

Much work needs to be done by all the teams to get their cars primed for the season and set up so they are able to compete for poles, podiums, race victories and of course world championship title.

You will not miss a second of the action with every practice session, qualifying and race live on DStv’s SuperSport Motorsport (channel 215).
