MultiChoice Kenya has awarded its top commercial partners for their hard work during a challenging year ravaged by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hybrid event brought together partners countrywide at the Annual Dealer Conference & Awards 2021 to reward their support and plug them onto MultiChoice Kenya’s transformation journey to continue to grow with the business.

According to the MultiChoice Kenya managing director, Nancy Matimu, MultiChoice Kenya’s shared prosperity vision seeks to reward, help build capacity and skills by developing long-term relationships with the firm’s stakeholders.

“We are proud to recognize our top-performing commercial partners across our value chain with whom we are jointly contributing to the economy through tax revenues, direct employment and solid relationships,” she said.

“I am proud to say that Multichoice Kenya is the country’s number 1 video entertainment company due to joint concerted efforts that have ensured that as many homes as possible are enjoying the premium entertainment we offer on DStv and GOtv.”

In the past 18 months, Multichoice Kenya has expanded its distribution by over 40% to just over 3,000 points of sale, thanks to its crucial accredited dealers and agencies that have made the business a world-class video entertainment service available to more Kenyans.

Additionally, the business has also been on an aggressive transformation journey of upgrading its branches nationally to deliver a more improved and modern customer experience offering 360-degree customer service and starting with the recently-upgraded  Ongata Rongai and Nyeri branches that were launched in May 2021.

Earlier this week, MultiChoice Kenya launched the newly revamped DStv Business seeking to significantly grow its commercial subscription base including hotels, pubs and clubs, offices, guest houses and serviced apartments over the next 6 months.

“With the support of our commercial partners, we continue to be our customers’ most preferred entertainment partner for the best of news, sports, local and international series and moves, kids’ content and edutainment among other genres,” said Nancy.
