Maersk, an integrated transport and logistics company, has appointed Tito Okuku as its new managing director for East Africa. Okuku will oversee Maersk’s operations in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Tito Okuku brings over 25 years of leadership experience in logistics and supply chain management. He previously served as managing director of APM Terminals Kenya (Great Lakes Ports) and managing director for East Africa at DHL Supply Chain.

Richard Morgan, Managing Director of Maersk—Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa, said:

Notable Achievements
At DHL Supply Chain, Okuku led initiatives such as deploying 25 Euro 5 biodiesel-powered trucks in partnership with Scania, enhancing road transport efficiency, and supporting East Africa’s economic growth.
At Great Lakes Ports Limited, he focused on improving operational safety and efficiency, emphasising clear communication with driver-partners to ensure safe, timely cargo delivery.
Effective Date
Tito Okuku officially assumed his role as managing director for Maersk East Africa on May 5, 2025.
