The National Bank of Kenya (NBK) on Monday said it has appointed Peter Kioko as acting Managing Director with effect June 10, 2022. Tanzania says residents residing in East African and Southern African trade blocs will now be able to invest in its Treasury bonds and bills. “The Regulations, among others, permit residents of the East African Community and Southern African Development Community, referred in the Regulations as prescribed territory, to invest in Treasury bills and bonds. The Regulations also permit a person resident in Tanzania to invest in the prescribed territory,” the Bank of Tanzania said Wednesday.
