KenGen has received the green light to sell an equivalent of 4.6 million tonnes of carbon emissions earned over the last 18 months. This follows the finalization of the verification of its six projects by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Kenya Airways (KQ) has decided to lease out two of its Embraer E190 aircraft to the Democratic Republic of Congo-based (DRC) carrier. This is part of the codeshare partnership established in April 2021.
