Employment and Labour Court Thursday blocked the planned layoffs at Tuskys Supermarket following a petition by the Kenya Union of Commercial, Food and Allied Workers (KUCFAW). Kucfaw had moved to court seeking to bar the cash strapped retailer from declaring over 400 employees redundant in a case filed at the court under a certificate of urgency.
