The Kenya High Court Thursday temporarily halted the implementation of Chief Justice David Maraga’s advisory to President Uhuru Kenyatta on the dissolution of Parliament. Employment and Labour Court Thursday blocked the planned layoffs at Tuskys Supermarket following a petition by the Kenya Union of Commercial, Food and Allied Workers (KUCFAW). Kucfaw had moved to court seeking to bar the cash strapped retailer from declaring over 400 employees redundant in a case filed at the court under a certificate of urgency. The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has launched an instant messaging application to assist investors in the Kenyan bourse for the first time.
