Safaricom Business gathered medium-sized enterprises from education, healthcare, and insurance to explore tools that keep operations running and growing.
The telco hosted a Grow with Safaricom Business Solutions showcase, where companies moved beyond theory and tested practical applications firsthand. Demonstrations covered everything from payment infrastructure to enterprise connectivity, giving attendees a ground-level look at what modern business technology can deliver.
“The most effective way to prove value to businesses is through practical demonstrations,” said Fawzia Ali, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Safaricom. “When businesses see solutions in action, they understand their impact. And it all begins with connectivity. When that fails, everything else comes to a standstill.”
Connectivity at the centre
Connectivity anchored the showcase. Attendees explored dedicated internet for reliable high-speed access, managed WiFi with built-in analytics for visibility and control, and fibre-to-the-room for stronger internal coverage. Enterprises running multiple locations examined SD-WAN as a smarter way to manage distributed networks, while 5G for Business offered a flexible, high-speed option for operations that need room to scale.
Running through all of it was always-on connectivity, a failsafe that keeps operations moving even when outages strike.
What the programme offers
Grow with Safaricom Business targets micro, small, and medium enterprises through three pillars: technology, knowledge, and people. The programme packages solutions around specific business needs rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach.
On payments, M-PESA for Business enables cashless transactions through Till numbers and the M-PESA Business App, which also handles invoice management. Cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and Internet of Things solutions round out the digital offering, while businesses seeking to protect assets or streamline logistics find purpose-built options across both categories.
Growth coaching adds another layer. Enterprises can access expert guidance on regulatory requirements and scaling, with free technology consultations available on request.
How to get started
Businesses can visit the Safaricom Business website to browse the full suite of tools. A callback from a technology consultant, available within 24 to 48 hours, provides tailored advice based on specific needs. The #GrowWithSafaricomBusiness forums also run regularly, offering networking, training, and sector insights.
The showcase forms part of a wider national rollout as Safaricom Business extends the programme to more enterprises across the country.
