Payless Africa, a Kenyan fintech company, aims to disrupt the financial landscape by offering affordable and user-friendly financial services designed specifically for young adults.

“Our vision for Payless Africa is to provide Centric, mobile-first seamless financial services to over 100 million unbanked and underserved youth in Africa, a population that will be 42% of the global youth by 2030,” said Kev Muley, Founder and CEO of Payless Africa.

“We are committed to challenging existing practices in the industry and championing financial empowerment for all individuals and businesses. With Payless Africa, we aim to lead by example and set new standards for integrity and inclusivity in the financial sector.

What makes it different

  • The mobile-first platform offers a seamless experience through its mobile app and digital platforms.
  • Comprehensive suite of services: From everyday banking and payments to savings and investments, Payless Africa helps you manage your finances in one place.
  • Transparent and affordable:  The platform prioritizes transparency and offers competitive fees to empower users to take control of their financial future.
  • Designed for the youth: Based on user feedback, Payless aims to be more “inspiring,” “efficient,” and “flexible” than traditional financial institutions.
  • Focus on security and privacy: It takes data security seriously, protecting your information.

Payless Africa disclosed that a recent survey found that 80% of young adults in Kenya (aged 20-30) are dissatisfied with traditional banking.

“After taking time to sit down in focus groups, conduct research, and gather feedback from the youth, we found solid gaps in the current financial services and banking industry,” said Kev.

Kev says the payment platform’s mission is to break down financial barriers and provide access to economic opportunities for all.

“Offering KSH 1000 transactions for free is just one example of our dedication to serving the needs of the youth. We understand the importance of eliminating barriers to financial growth and development.”
