Argentina controlled the match from the first minute, with the defending champions struggling to get into the match.
They would go ahead when Messi converted a penalty when Ousmane Dembele tripped Angel Di Maria in the area.
They would get the second minutes later when Di Maria completed a brilliant counterattack.
It was all but won deep into the second half before Kylian Mbappe rallied the European side with two goals and sent the match extra time.

Messi would put the side ahead again deep into extra time before Mbappe equalized from the spot.
The match would head to penalties, with Emiliano Martinez stopping Kingsley Comanβs kick and Aurelien Tchouameniβs effort going wide.
Gonzalo Montiel would get the winner and seal a brilliant tournament for the Argentines.
