Max Verstappen won the seventh race, 2021 Formula 1 of the season at Circuit Paul Ricard in France Sunday.
He defeated the race’s favourite, Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton has had a 2-2 win category at the track with Mercedes dominating both races in 2018 and 2019.
Verstappen has 131 points to Hamilton’s 119 after seven races.
“The two-stop pit stop [strategy] paid off. The whole race we were fighting each other. I think it will be like this for the rest of the season,” said Max.

“Congratulations to Max, he did a great job. I am happy with the result, unfortunately, I lost the position but it was still a great race. We have got to dig deep and find some pace,” Lewis Hamilton told F1.
